By engaging the hamstrings in this manner, we are essentially flexing our pelvis. For 99% of our day, we live in extension, where our hamstrings are pulled at their maximal (while we sit, while we walk).
Imagine having it all figured out.
Your weaknesses are not your proverbial weaknesses anymore.
Your strengths are always strong and primed.
Your movement is crisp, efficient and is synonymous with “machine like”.
Your competition does not scare you – it excites you and pushes you to perform at your best at all times.
Here are the three elements of an effective foundation for a legitimate mobility program:
- Take your breathing seriously
- Incorporate uni-lateral stretches and movements
- You must work on achieving anatomical symmetry
If you ain’t doing #1, 2, or 3 above, you ain’t doing it right.
They are also applicable for athletes, moms, dads, friends, professionals, blue collar, public service workers and really every human in general.
They are a set of “standard operating procedures” that we can all learn to live by and see some improvements in all facets of our lives.
