Try This Recipe: BEST EVER Tuna Salad
Years ago, when I first got into fitness and lifting weights I ate all the typical bodybuilder foods. Tuna, eggs, rice, chicken, you know the drill.
Thinking about it now, until a week or so ago, I hadn't eaten Tuna in nearly 10 years. My entire diet used to consist of Tuna and similar proteins to make dieting easier, but alas, much less exciting. I was so turned off of Tuna, until this recipe, I hadn't desired it in a decade!
I don't think I'm alone in my dislike for Tuna. But, if you are willing to give Tuna another chance, try this recipe. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Just to note, I don't get cheap Tuna.
If I'm going to eat it, I go all out with the Solid White Albacore from StarKist. It's my middle class fancy, if you will.
Another reason I love this recipe is because it's simple. Sometimes you just need something simple, clean and guilt-free ... and this is it!
1 7-ounce can white tuna, drained
6 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Parmesean Cheese
3 Tbsp pickle relish
1/8 tsp dried minced onion flakes
1/4 tsp curry powder
1 Tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried dill weed
1 pinch garlic powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Make sure to flake the tuna to separate chunks. Mix well and serve with crackers, as a sandwich or eat straight out of the bowl!
